La principal diferencia con el condicional simple es que pone el énfasis en la continuidad de la acción.
Los principales usos del condicional continuo son:
1 Para formar las oraciones condicionales hipotéticas o de tipo 2 (el verbo de la oración subordinada irá en pasado simple).
If he were here he would be cleaning.
Si estuviera aquí estaría limpiando.
I would be reading in the garden if it didn't rain.
Estaría leyendo en el jardín si no lloviera.
2 Para expresar probabilidad, posibilidad, opiniones, conjeturas.
They would be watching tv.
Estarían viendo la tv.
He would't be living here without his parents' help.
No estaría viviendo aquí sin la ayuda de sus padres.
3 Para hablar de algo futuro que estaría en proceso de realización o teniendo lugar en el pasado.
I knew he would be eating.
Sabía que estaría comiendo.
He knew she would be waiting for us.
Sabía que estaría esperándonos

La oración 7 dice: Her bicycle was stolen at the market.
Es una oración en voz pasiva.
Esta oración en voz activa seria: Someone stole her bicycle at the market. El sujeto de la oración es Someone y bicycle es el objeto que recibe la acción. Al cambiar a voz pasiva se intenta resaltar el objeto que recibe la acción por sobre quien la realiza.
Como se forma la voz pasiva en Ingles: El objeto (que recibe la acción) + verbo TO BE (en el mismo tiempo de la frase en voz activa) + verbo en participio pasado.
