# Derivative Function

The **derivative function** of a function **f(x)** is a** function that associates to each real number its derivative**, if it exists. It is denoted by **f'(x)**.

#### Examples

Calculate the derivative function of f(x) = x^{2} − x + 1.

Find f'(−1), f'(0) and f'(1).

f'(−1) = 2(−1) − 1 = −3

f'(0) = 2(0) − 1 = −1

f'(1) = 2(1) − 1 = 1
