Square Root of Decimal Numbers
To extract the square root of a decimal number, peform the following steps:
1Separate the number into two groups from the decimal point (the integer part and the decimal part).
2 If the radicand has an odd number of decimal digits, add a zero to the right.
3Disregard the presence of the decimal point and extract the square root of the resulting number.
4 In the root, from the right, place as many decimal numbers as there are a number of pairs of decimal places under the radicand. In the remainder and also from the right, place as many decimal numbers as there are decimal places under the radicand.
